KCWC – Petal Top
Exhibit 5 & 6 for Kids Clothes Week Challenge : Emma Hardy’s Petal Top from Making Children’s Clothes (x2)
The Petal Top was the first “real” pattern I sewed after graduating from elasticised skirts made from rectangles of fabric!
For these versions, I shortened the sleeves and excluded the suggested embellishments.
The owl fabric is from Spotlight and and the larger top (which does fit Miss B but she is refusing to model today!) is made up in some Alexander Henry fabric, which I purchased as remnants, from Kelani Fabric Obsession. Oh how I do love a remnant!
With regards to Miss B’s top, I would dearly have loved to add pockets in same fabric as the sleeve, but there are limits to how far a fat quarter will go!
Now I’m off to sew some more bloomers for my niece.
Adorable! I love the owl fabric. 🙂
