Sneak peaks…
Lots of coughing, wheezing and sneezing going on in our house at the moment, but also some sewing.
First up a pattern testing gig. I think this garment might be my favourite to date! Until I can show you the real deal, here’s a sneak peak of the fabric, a remnant from Tessuti, and the vintage buttons.
The girls dress and skirt I made yesterday are on there way to Germany as part of a summer holiday parcel my daughters and I put together for our dear friends. I can’t show you too much as it will totally ruin the surprise for my friend who is a regular reader. Hello Anne!
I’m also drafting (not really sure I can use that word) a girls skirt pattern for the school fair so we don’t have to worry about copyright and/or licensing. At the moment it’s looking more like a formula than a skirt!
I’ve also cut out a Victoria Blazer in calico to check the fit. Watch this space…
What projects are you working on?
OMG I looooove that Tessuti remnant! Can’t wait to see what that turns into!
The remnant was a good score and I believe I did justice to it!
excellent – nothing better than an awesome project made from a remnant!
You are so good at picking ‘just’ the right fabric and finding great ‘finds’, Waiting patiently to see what you create next!
Very kind words Anne. Thank-you 🙂
Oooh I was going to buy some of that pretty rose fabric for a blazer… but I chickened out! Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.
It’s surprising how much confidence you get when it’s a remnant 🙂
