Colour blocked seersucker delight

My love of the Aeolian T-shirt Dress pattern runs deep, so it seems fitting that in the coming weeks I’m sharing some of my latest versions on Pattern Fantastique’s blog. My first guest post is now live. Head on over and check it out!
Pattern: Pattern Fantastique’s Aeolian T-shirt Dress (top length)
Size: Small
Fabric: Peach coloured Japanese cotton seersucker from The Fabric Store. French navy & brown Japanese cotton seersucker from Tessuti
Alterations: Sewn in a woven rather than a knit
Accessories: Sonia Rykiel beads from Christine & shoes from Gorman
Great colourblocking! Worked beautifully 🙂
It’s already getting lots of wear Jillian. And bonus… no ironing!
I love the proportions of this top! Nice guest post 🙂
Thanks Dani. I loved sewing and love wearing this top.
I bought this pattern last week because of you! I’m just deciding what to sew it up in.
I take full responsibility for your purchase! The pattern works in so many fabrics. Maybe start with something a bit drapey (jersey or woven) to get a feel for the pattern.
This top is delightful. Love the colour block.
Thanks Louise. It’s already had a few wears.
Looks great Anna! Boxy, cropped tees work really well with your slim little legs! 🙂
I feel another linen Aeolian dress is required… Addicted much? Hell yes!
[…] Iro double gauze (a long time stash resident!) & peach seersucker binding left-over from this project. Alterations: Sewn in a woven rather than a knit. I removed length from the original pattern […]
See it was genius buying the contrasting seersucker! Goodness knows why it’s taken me this long to read this post…. Must be the sweatshop! Looks fabulous!
