Seven knitted loops of love
I knitted the Sev[en] Circle neckpiece by Kirsten Johnstone during the Australia Open in January.
I’m wearing it today, with jeans and a linen shirt, and it reminded me that I hadn’t blogged about this finished object yet.
This is the second time I’ve knitted this neckpiece and I love it as much as my first.
The yarn is a linen/cotton blend (Rowan brand) purchased from a discount basket at Sunspun Fine Yarns last year.
The design is very clever… a series of seven loops, which are all different sizes and are connected at the back.
I feel this won’t be the last time I use this pattern.
Pattern: Kirsten Johnstone’s Sev[en] Circle
Size: One Size
Yarn: Rowan’s Creative Linen (100g) in SH643 from Sunspun Fine Yarns
Needles: US Size #7 (4.5 mm) : circular needles : length 40cm
Alterations: NA
Ravelry Entry: Sev[en] Circle Neckpiece (Orange)
Location: Private Garden, Ballarat
It looks SO gorgeous!! Your so clever, I just love it xxx
Very kind words Katie. Thank-you.
This is awesome Anna! It’s shot up my to-knit list xx
You’ll whip one up in a flash Leah. Can’t wait to see what yarn you choose.
While my sewing machine is still in a box, I recently got out my knitting needles. Such a fun take on a scarf…or is it a necklace? Either way, it needs to go in my queue!
I’m really enjoying my knitting (still very basic) at the moment. It’s a nice portable project and therefore a little more social than sewing. I hope you enjoy this pattern as much as I did.
Love it! I especially love that rusty colour.
– did I miss that dress? it’s superb!
The dress is RTW (a few years old) and the only maxi dress I have ever owned. When it wears out I will have to replicate it!
Gorg! Love it with those stripes too. What a clever design!
Everything looks good (or is that better?) with stripes! The design is very clever.
I love it! Beautiful colour! It is a great pattern! I have knitted 5!
I think five or more of these (they make great presents) are in my future too!
such a nice little accessory … I love love love the color combo!
Thanks Sasha
I have made this neckpiece twice too, its lovely and an easy knit although I loath knitting on circular needles. I knitted it in Rowan in red, then grey. Always get compliments when wearing it. Looks lovely on you in the orange colourway.
