#isewlation2020 : isew!

Grainline’s Linden Sweatshirt is a pattern that I’ve sewn many times before.  For this version, I decided to add a slogan to the front of the sweatshirt using the tutorial on Grainline’s website as a guide.

As I had a raw edge applique expert in my household, so I outsourced the stitching around the slogan to Miss A (see Instagram for some in progress photo).  She did a fabulous job.

The slogan was a play on words (isolation = ISO = i sew !) which was inspired by Cris Wood Sews hashtag #isewlation2020.  You may have noticed I’m also using this hashtag as a series header for all my ‘catch-up’ blog posts from my 2020 makes.

Did you notice the Kylie And The Machine ‘Slow Fashion’ side seam label?

The sweater/jumper was sewn from an ivory cotton fleece [sold out] and, let’s call it, tonal ribbing… both from The Cloth Shop.

This was a fun project and I love wearing my latest Linden.  I would classify myself as a grub, so the ivory colour is a challenge for me, but so far so good!

I’m keen to make another slogan sweater/jumper… I just have to brainstorm up a new slogan.  Any suggestions?
